The first ever NWMotiv x G2 Distribution Leavenworth Charity Cruise benefitting Seattle Children’s was a huge success! With the original Leavenworth Drive being cancelled, we wanted to host an occasion for the community to come out, enjoy each other’s company, and have fun with their cars all for a great cause.
On the morning of July 9th, 2022, we all gathered at Group 2 Automotive, where they kindly opened their doors for us to walk around their shop and their showroom area. They even provided morning snacks for everyone before hitting the road! The mix of vehicles, from daily drivers to off-roaders was really cool to see. Everyone chatting about their rides and passion for cars is exactly what we aimed for, ultimately bringing the automotive community together. After we had checked everyone in, we had our driver’s meetings to go over the general rules and expectations, and then, we were off!
Our plan was to take HWY 522 where we would transition to HWY 2 in Monroe. From there, we would head to Steven’s Pass where we would stop for a quick break to allow some folks to catch up.
After a short break, we were back on the road. Now originally, we were going to straight shoot it to Leavenworth, but we took a little detour to the city of Plain as there were some twisty roads that we wanted to hit before getting into Leavenworth. It was another chance for everyone to take a break and stretch their legs. The twisty roads after Plain did not disappoint and after a short 30 minute drive, we had made it to Leavenworth.
As there wasn’t any official meet up in town, some of us stayed to grab some food, while others made their way back to the West side. For those who wanted to stay in town, we encouraged them to visit the local businesses and to stay on their best behaviors. Overall, it was a great morning and a successful first Charity Cruise. Every single donation made makes a significant difference in a child’s life, thank you to all!
Thank you to @aimlessgoods for making wonderful shirts and stickers for us all to remember the drive and @hagerty @oreillyautoparts, @griotsgarage, and @motulusa for their contributions!
