HondafestNW 2021
COVID-19 this, pandemic that. That is what many of us were hearing for over a year now. While all of us were doing our part to stay safe and to keep others safe, we were yearning to get back out there and interact with the community. I mean what is the fun of having a passion when we can’t share it with others right?
WEKFEST SEATTLE 2019
Since our inception in 2010, we’ve seen our community’s momentum go up and down. There was a high point where everyone was building their cars and attending all of the major shows held not only by us, but others as well. The passion for their cars were there, allowing the older and younger generation to share ideas and learn from one another. But the generational change between various car builders became apparent when many (not all) younger car builders started building their cars for the sake of gaining recognition from others.
HondafestNW 2019
Dating back to the days of the Honda Tech meets, the Honda community has always been about the people and their stories. There is a certain passion with Hondas that is often misunderstood by other members of the car community. For many of us, a Honda was our first car. While for others, it was their first build. As we grew older, our love for Hondas grew as well. Many of us returned to Hondas, more established than our younger selves, to build the car that we wanted since we were young. HondafestNW allows owners from all different backgrounds to proudly show off their builds.
HondafestNW 2018: The 5th Anniversary
With 2018 marking its 5th anniversary, this year’s HondafestNW was definitely a wet one. Hoping to continue our streak of having consecutive years of sunny HondafestNWs, we were actively monitoring the weather reports days leading up to the event. Of course, with Washington’s weather, our streak came to an end and the weather forecast was predicting no less than an 80% chance of rain. HondafestNW has shown to always be a great show, so we were not going to cancel or move the event despite the weather conditions. Like with all of our events, rain or shine, the show still goes on.
